Cannabis
Most commonly referred to as "Marijuana". This drug is also know as "pot, reefer, grass, weed, herb, joint, doobie, chronic", etc. Usually green, leafy substance that naturally produces a chemical called THC. It can have a depressant effect in low doses but can have a hallucinatory effect in moderate to high doses. Mostly smoked in hand rolled cigarettes or in water cooled pipes called bongs. Another popular method of smoking marijuana is compacting it into hollowed out cigars called "blunts".
Ecstasy
Most commonly referred to as "X, XTC, Zen, Beans, Rolls..." This drug is seen more and more with today's youth. It is a powerful stimulant psychedelic drug related to methamphetamine. It usually comes in tablet form. The tablets come in a variety of shapes and colors but most often appear similar to aspirin. They will often have unusual designs or images stamped into the tablet.
Cocaine
Most commonly referred to as "coke, nose candy, powder, snow..." Cocaine is a naturally occurring stimulant found in the coca bush plant. It generally is white or off white in color. Users can overdoes due to the constriction of blood vessels and increased heart rate. Most common form of consumption is snorting but it can also be injected or smoked.
Crack Cocaine
Most commonly referred to as rock, slab, cookie...The cocaine is boiled down in water using a combination of baking soda to remove impurities. This produces rock like pieces that are smoked with homemade glass pipes or bent aluminum cans. Crack cocaine is more addicting than cocaine.
Methamphetamine
Most commonly referred to as "Meth, crank, speed, crystal, ice..." Meth is produced in illegal homemade laboratories. Meth can be in the form of pills, powder and chunks. An amphetamine is a chemical that has stimulant properties similar to adrenaline. Like adrenaline, meth stimulates the central nervous system, and is extremely addictive. No one ever tries meth just once.
